The National Testing Agency (NTA) extends the deadline for NEET UG 2026 candidates to verify or update their bank account details for examination fee refunds. Multiple notices reported a prior cut-off of July 7, 2026 (11:50 pm) and an earlier extension to July 14, 2026; the latest updates set the new deadline for completing bank-detail confirmation/updation at July 31, 2026, through the official NEET UG portal (neet.nta.nic.in). Refund processing is linked to the cancellation of the original NEET UG 2026 exam following allegations of a paper leak, after which the exam was reportedly re-conducted on June 21, 2026. NTA says refunds are being processed for eligible candidates who have successfully confirmed their banking information. Candidates who have not updated or verified their bank details are asked to do so before the revised deadline to avoid delays. The portal requires details including account holder name, bank account number, IFSC code, and bank name; uploading a scanned cancelled cheque is optional but recommended to reduce verification errors. Once candidates submit bank information, NTA indicates it is treated as final, and refunds are expected to be credited to the same payment mode used for fee payment, subject to eligibility.
