Several outlets reference leaks and hands-on footage, including a leaked video that purportedly shows the Fold 8 Ultra’s screen with an “invisible” or “nearly invisible” crease. Android Police and Android Authority similarly describe the expected result as being comparable to near-crease-free displays seen on Oppo’s foldable devices, with NDTV specifically mentioning the Oppo Find N6. Some reports add tradeoffs: NDTV and GSMArena say the new hinge may make folding and unfolding feel “more decisive,” potentially limiting how easily users can hold the device at certain intermediate angles compared with the Fold7-era design.
