Kushal Tandon’s comment about Gauahar Khan on the reality show “Alliance” has drawn online backlash, after which Zaid Darbar apologises to his wife. In an episode earlier in July, during a conversation that included Zaid asking Kushal for a cigarette, Kushal made an indirect remark—reported as “Tujhe saali, saare meri cheezin pasand aati hai” (that you like all my things)—which commentators linked to his past relationship with Gauahar. Some contestants and viewers criticised the remark, and several social media users questioned Zaid’s reaction when he appeared to laugh and move on rather than confront Kushal.

After the clip resurfaced and backlash spread, Zaid apologises to Gauahar. In a video shared by Banijay Asia, Zaid says he “took it lightly” and acknowledges what Kushal said was wrong. He also says he did not intend to hurt anyone. Gauahar replies in supportive terms, urging that not every joke should be taken offensively.

Gauahar’s support is also reflected in social media posts, while Tina Tandon, Kushal’s sister, says the online reaction exaggerates a minor moment. Reports also describe a separate episode involving show tasks and nominations, including Payal being nominated after finishing last.
