Bentley has revealed “Torcal” as the name of its first electric vehicle, a new premium SUV that the automaker says will join its current lineup. Multiple outlets report Bentley is teasing the model ahead of an official reveal scheduled for late September, with further details to follow. The company positions Torcal around its craftsmanship and aims to address electric-vehicle usability through fast charging. Coverage also notes that Bentley is moving ahead despite reported softening demand across parts of the luxury electric-vehicle market.

Carscoops adds that Torcal is expected to arrive in the fall and is based on an existing “Cayenne Electric” platform. The new electric SUV is also described as being sold alongside Bentley’s combustion-powered Bentayga. Other reports emphasize Bentley’s decision to add an electric model to its “exclusive lineup,” marking a shift for the brand as it expands beyond its traditional engine offerings.
