A woman in Nizamabad district of Telangana is accused of killing her husband by injecting toilet cleaner while he was receiving medical treatment. Police say the husband, 35-year-old Prashant, was initially attacked during a planned incident linked to the woman’s alleged extramarital relationship. According to police accounts, the accused woman, identified as Sandhya, and her alleged lover Anil, along with another man, first allegedly made Prashant heavily intoxicated and assaulted him before pushing him from a rooftop. Prashant survived the fall and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police allege that while he was undergoing care with an intravenous line, Sandhya—described as a nurse—used a cannula or IV access to inject toilet cleaning liquid into him, causing his death. Authorities say the killing was premeditated and involved continued action after the initial assault. The case came to light after Prashant’s mother raised suspicions and filed a complaint. Police say all three accused have been arrested, produced in court, and remanded to judicial custody.
