External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar meets Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and also holds meetings with the country’s Crown Prince during his visit to deepen India-Bahrain relations. According to reports, Jaishankar arrives in Bahrain from Qatar as part of a broader four-nation Gulf trip that also includes Kuwait and Oman, scheduled from July 5 to 10.
In meetings with King Hamad, Jaishankar discusses ways to further strengthen bilateral partnership. He conveys greetings from India’s President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the King, and thanks him for ensuring the safety and well-being of the Indian diaspora in Bahrain. Jaishankar also meets the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, at the audience.
The reporting also indicates that Jaishankar meets Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani earlier during the visit, alongside discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two countries. The meetings focus on ongoing diplomatic engagement and strengthening shared ties.
