Telangana’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrests Deputy Superintendent of Police Sankireddy Bheem Reddy in a “disproportionate assets” case, according to multiple reports. NDTV and other outlets say the case involves allegations that his assets are disproportionate to his known sources of income. The ACB conducts searches at 16 locations linked to him across Telangana and also in Karnataka, and then arrests him at about 7.40 pm from his residence in Hyderabad. The reported value of allegedly acquired assets varies by outlet, with figures cited around Rs 300 crore and at least Rs 150 crore.

Sources describe a wide range of assets found during the raids, including multiple high-end properties such as villas, flats, and commercial spaces, as well as agricultural land in Telangana and Karnataka. Investigators also report recovering large amounts of cash and valuables, including gold ornaments and other precious items. Bank balances are also mentioned. Times of India and Free Press Journal report that a handwritten diary allegedly recovered during the searches includes details of assets, investments, liabilities, and the names of alleged benamidars, and that it also refers to distribution instructions. The ACB is expected to produce the accused before the designated ACB court as the investigation continues.
