Other reports from Times of India describe IMD alerts shifting between yellow, orange and red, including a yellow alert for July 8-9 and later orange/red alerts for continued moderate to heavy rainfall. Forecasts covered the region and extended for several days, with thunderstorms, gusty winds and periods of rain expected through much of the week. Times of India also reports that alert levels ease on July 10-11 in some updates, as the weather system weakens, though cloudy conditions continue. The reports also note relief from heat due to lower minimum temperatures and generally satisfactory air quality despite the downpours, alongside advice to monitor weather updates and avoid unnecessary travel.
