Prosecutors in Utah court present video evidence they say shows Tyler Robinson at Utah Valley University shortly before Charlie Kirk is fatally shot, then fleeing the campus. According to the outlets, the prosecution plays surveillance footage and related video compilations in court, describing a sequence in which the accused is filmed on or near campus grounds and later leaves the area after the shooting.
The Independent and ABC News both report that the video shows Robinson moving around the university campus minutes before the killing. The Washington Times adds that prosecutors characterize the footage as depicting Robinson on a rooftop at the time of the attack, followed by a departure from the scene.
ABC News also reports that the defense objects to parts of the video, arguing the material should not be treated as accurate or reliable evidence of the accused’s presence and actions. The court proceedings therefore include both the prosecution’s presentation of the footage and the defense’s challenge to its interpretation.
