Wicknell Chivayo gives Dynamos FC a bus and $50,000 after Harare Derby

Wicknell Chivayo says he honours his pledge to Dynamos FC after the club loses 2-1 to arch-rivals CAPS United in the Harare Derby at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday, 10 May. The Zimbabwean reports that Chivayo had been branded a “thief” by some CAPS United supporters following the defeat, but he nonetheless commits to buying Dynamos a new team bus. New Zimbabwe adds that, despite the loss, Chivayo goes further by gifting the club a bus and US$50,000 in cash. The reports indicate Chivayo’s original promise was linked to Dynamos’ performance in the derby against CAPS United.
