Rajkummar Rao unveils first look for biopic Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story

Rajkummar Rao will portray Sourav Ganguly in an upcoming biopic titled Dada. Sushant Singh Rajput had previously pursued the rights for this life story. He had initiated talks with the cricketer in 2018 for the project. Ganguly was not ready for a film at that time. The biopic is scheduled for a May 2027 release.

The first-look poster for 'DADA: The Sourav Ganguly Story' was unveiled on his birthday. Rajkummar Rao is seen recreating Sourav Ganguly's famous Lord's balcony celebration. The film will trace the remarkable life and career of the former Indian cricket captain. Tanya Maniktala and Saswata Chatterjee also feature in the upcoming biopic. 'DADA: The Sourav Ganguly Story' is scheduled for a May 2027 release.

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, 'Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story' will follow his journey from a young cricketer to one of India's most successful and influential captains.
