A man from Telangana’s Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district purchases a motorcycle by paying the entire bill using only ₹10 coins, drawing widespread attention online. Multiple reports say Konde Raghupathi, a resident of Veliminedu village in Chityala mandal, pays Rs 1.10 lakh (₹1.1 lakh) in ₹10 coins—about 11,000 coins—for a Hero Splendor Plus. The purchase takes place at Sri Vinayaka Motors in Chityala. Accounts describe piles of coins collected in multiple polythene bags being counted at the showroom to verify the total amount. After the staff confirm the payment, Raghupathi is handed the motorcycle; one report also mentions a symbolic cardboard cutout key while the bike is shown in the background. A video of the transaction circulates on social media and goes viral. The incident is repeatedly compared with similar past cases, including a separate news report from Chhattisgarh where a customer used coins saved over months to buy a scooter.
