Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike says the FCT Administration now has funds for projects because it was removed from Nigeria’s Treasury Single Account (TSA) by President Bola Tinubu. Speaking on Wednesday during the commissioning of a newly constructed road linking the Body of Benchers to two private universities in Abuja, Wike credits the TSA change with making resources available for infrastructure delivery. He links the commissioning activity to what he describes as increased funding, saying the FCTA has “so many projects” to commission, including other work he said was commissioned previously such as an annex at the Body of Benchers. Wike commends Tinubu for the decision and portrays it as beneficial to the FCTA under his leadership. He also reiterates that his administration’s infrastructure programme will reach every district and satellite town within the FCT, saying it has already toured and engaged multiple areas that make up the city. The reports characterize the TSA removal as the key factor behind the availability of funds for the projects being delivered and commissioned.
