Lionsgate has released an official second trailer for “Mutiny,” an action thriller directed by Jean‑François Richet and starring Jason Statham. The film follows Cole Reed, who witnesses the murder of his billionaire boss and is then framed for the crime. Reed is forced to go on the run while trying to uncover an international conspiracy.
Across the trailer, the main set piece centers on a cargo ship, where Reed fights through hostile forces after effectively invading the vessel. The synopsis and trailer materials also indicate that, in addition to seeking revenge, Reed works to rescue people caught up in the conflict aboard the ship.
“Mutiny” is set for theatrical release in August. It is presented as Statham’s second major big-screen release of 2026, following “Shelter,” which opened earlier in the year. The cast includes Annabelle Wallis, Jason Wong, Roland Møller, Arnas Fedaravicius, and Adrian Lester, alongside Statham.
