Spotify is increasing the maximum number of items users can pin in their library. For years, the pin limit has been set at four items, restricting how many albums, artists, playlists, or other entries a user can keep readily accessible. According to reporting from Digital Trends and Android Authority, the limit is now raised to 20 items, representing a substantial increase compared with the previous cap. Android Authority describes the change as allowing users to pin about five times as many items as before, which aligns with the four-to-20 increase.
The change is presented as a gradual improvement to how Spotify lets users organize their personal libraries. Both outlets highlight that the previous restriction persisted for an extended period and that the update makes Spotify more generous than other major music streaming services, at least in terms of the number of pinned items available.
