The feature builds on existing Remix-style functionality available for photos in the app, extending it to video editing. With Video Remix, users can take a video and generate stylized versions using templates, aiming to make edits faster and easier than traditional manual workflows.
Multiple outlets report that the feature is powered by Gemini’s “create anything from any input” model, which supports transforming content based on a chosen template and the source video. The feature appears within Google Photos’ “Create” area (accessible from the bottom navigation/tab in the app), where users can access the new Video Remix option.
