Premier Energies inaugurates and commissions a 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Seetharampur, Rangareddy district, Telangana. The company says the project takes its total solar module manufacturing capacity to 11.1 GW, aimed at supplying both domestic and international markets. According to multiple reports, the plant is part of a broader expansion under the company’s capital expenditure plan, which is reported as Rs 12,500 crore. The facility is reported to use G12R TOPCon module manufacturing lines and includes a zero bus bar unit, along with automation for materials movement and AI-based quality inspection systems. In addition to the solar module plant, Premier Energies breaks ground or commissions related manufacturing projects at the same site, including a battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility with 6 GWh capacity and an aluminium frames manufacturing plant with an annual capacity of 18,000 metric tonnes. The Seetharampur manufacturing campus is reported to span 75 acres, and the company expects the overall expansion to support job creation once fully operational.
