The inaugural Space Frontier Forum is held in South Korea to connect space startups with researchers, policymakers and investors. Organized by space industry consulting firm SpaceRadar and venture capital firm STIC Ventures on Thursday, the forum takes place under the theme “Understanding and Growing the Space Industry Ecosystem Together.” More than 150 participants attend, including officials from Korean space companies and startups, representatives from the Korea AeroSpace Research Institute (KARI), the foreign ministry and venture capital firms.

Forum speakers discuss trends and emerging opportunities in the private space industry. Established companies including KT SAT and Nara Space share their experiences, while presentations from Mirae Asset Capital and KARI focus on investment trends and recent developments in the space sector. SpaceRadar CEO Park Si-soo says industry growth depends on communication and collaboration among companies, researchers and policymakers, and characterizes the event as a starting point for that effort.
