Multiple reports say Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi Note 17 Pro will feature a 9,000mAh battery and support 67W wired fast charging. The phone also is expected to offer 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing it to charge other devices. Xiaomi is additionally outlining a battery protection program: sources report that if the battery’s maximum capacity falls below 80% within the first four years of ownership, the company will replace the battery for free. One report adds that further coverage extends into a fifth year, when an upgrade is offered if the capacity drops below 80%.
On the display side, NDTV reports the device will use a flat screen with 1.5K resolution. NDTV also cites additional specifications teased via regulatory listings, including Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and a multi-standard IP rating (IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K). NDTV further states that the Redmi Note 17 Pro’s launch in China is scheduled for July 14.
