Malayalam actor Vinayakan is facing a police case in Kerala after an alleged Facebook post involving a minor girl. According to multiple reports, the Mavelikkara Police in Alappuzha district register the case following directions from the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. The complaint alleges that Vinayakan shared an image of an eight-year-old girl on Facebook without the family’s consent and also posted the girl’s father’s mobile number along with objectionable remarks. The father’s complaint states that after the post appeared, he received repeated calls from unknown people, including some who allegedly abused him after obtaining his contact details. Another report says the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights reviews the matter and instructs police to proceed. Police action reportedly invokes provisions related to insulting womanhood and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act. Reports also note that the alleged incident occurred in July last year, and that further details of the investigation are awaited. Vinayakan is also described as working on the film “Jailer 2.”
