BTS will hold a large-scale fan event in New York, announced by its agency BigHit Music. The program, titled “BTS The City Arirang New York,” runs from July 24 (local time) through August 3. It is scheduled around the group’s “Arirang” world tour concerts on August 1–2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which take place during the same period as the New York event.
As part of the festivities, Grand Central Terminal—one of New York’s major landmarks—is set to be transformed with visuals themed around BTS’ fifth full-length album, “Arirang.” The agency says red posters reflecting the album’s key color will be installed throughout the terminal. Vanderbilt Hall, inside Grand Central Terminal, will host an “ARMY Madang,” featuring stage outfits the group wore during its 2019 Wembley Stadium concerts in London.
BigHit Music also says additional fan-focused activities and interactive programs are planned. The event is part of “The City” project, and “ARMY” is the name of BTS’s devoted fan community.
