Wang Xiaofei, the late Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu’s former husband, addresses ongoing reports about how her estate will be handled following her death. According to statements relayed by Taiwanese media, Wang’s legal team says he will respect the inheritance rights of Hsu’s second husband, Korean singer Koo Jun-yup (DJ Koo). The communications also seek to clarify speculation about related issues, including estate-related mortgage payments and matters involving Hsu’s children and mother.

As the legal process moves forward, Wang’s side says he has asked the court to appoint a special representative to protect the interests of their two minor children. That court-appointed representative is now handling the estate procedures. Under the expected application of Taiwanese inheritance rules described in the statement, the children are expected to receive a combined two-thirds of the estate, while DJ Koo is expected to receive the remaining one-third as Hsu’s surviving spouse.

Wang’s team also states that it has set up a trust account to manage the children’s inherited assets and that Wang respects whatever legal decision DJ Koo makes regarding his share.
