The BCCI is set to conduct a detailed performance review of India’s men’s T20I team immediately after the ongoing England tour ends, following India’s series defeat to England. Multiple reports say the review is prompted by India’s poor run in the latest white-ball matches and will identify the issues behind the team’s recent performances so they can be addressed before the next fixtures.

According to reports, India lost the T20I series after a defeat in the fourth match at Bristol, where England took an unassailable 3–0 lead in the five-match series. While Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten 80 for India, the rest of the batting struggled and India were limited to 158/7. England then chased the target with Harry Brook and Phil Salt making key contributions, with the chase completed with time to spare.

One report also notes India’s earlier challenges in T20Is, including a first-ever 2–0 series defeat to Ireland, and recent struggles against England on different conditions. The review is expected to take place after the ODI series ends in England on July 19, with India scheduled to play a T20I series against Zimbabwe shortly afterward.
