The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arraigns an alleged drug kingpin, Anochili Innocent, along with three Mexican nationals and six other Nigerians, before a Federal High Court in Lagos. The defendants face an 11-count charge tied to the alleged establishment of a “super clandestine” laboratory used to produce methamphetamine at Mowe village (also described as Mowe Forest), in Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State.

According to the reports, the prosecution alleges the laboratory produced 2,419.48 kilograms of methamphetamine, which is described as having a value of more than 480 billion naira in the international market. The charges include conspiracy and other offences connected to drug trafficking and operation of the illicit facility.

The court remands the suspects pending further proceedings. The reports do not describe pleas entered by the defendants or any trial outcome at the time of filing.
