Jeep’s compact Avenger is being offered in multiple powertrains in the UK, following its earlier launch as an electric-only model. Reports say the Avenger Electric is the first purely electric production Jeep, developed outside the US by teams in Italy and Poland, and it is positioned as Jeep’s bid to grow in Europe’s compact crossover market. Alongside the electric model, Jeep now sells a 1.2-litre petrol version with a manual gearbox, as well as an electrified petrol automatic that uses a mild-hybrid system. A four-wheel-drive 4xe variant is also available, using an additional electric motor on the rear axle.

The range is described as being offered across three trim levels (Longitude, Latitude and Summit). Pricing varies by version: the electric model is reported to start at £29,999, while the 4xe starts from £31,219. The petrol manual is said to start from £25,750. The lineup can extend to a higher-priced 4xe special edition created with The North Face, with items such as roof bars and tow hooks cited in the UK offering. The electric version is described as having a stated range of 249 miles.
