Hollywood actor Matt Damon says he wanted to collaborate with Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur on “The Four Feathers” (2002) but could not take the role. Speaking at The Odyssey Mumbai event on Saturday, July 11, Damon said Kapur is a filmmaker he has admired for a long time and that he had “Shekhar Kapur” in mind when asked which Indian director he would like to work with. He described being “really upset” about missing the opportunity and referred to it as a “20-year-old debt” he still remembers. Damon attributed his inability to do “The Four Feathers” to his professional commitments at the time, saying he was likely signed up for a “Jason Bourne” movie. Despite the missed collaboration, Damon said his desire to work with Kapur remains and that he would like “another go.”

Damon is currently promoting “The Odyssey,” where he plays Odysseus. The film also features Anne Hathaway as Penelope, along with other cast members including Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron.
