Avenue Supermarts Ltd., the operator of DMart stores, reports higher profitability for the June quarter (Q1 FY27), with consolidated net profit rising 11.3% year-on-year to about Rs 860 crore. Revenue from operations increases to roughly Rs 18,795 crore, up from about Rs 16,360 crore in the year-ago period. The company also shows sequential improvement: net profit rises from around Rs 656 crore in the March 2026 quarter to about Rs 860 crore in Q1, while revenue from operations grows from about Rs 17,684 crore to about Rs 18,795 crore.
The filings indicate higher profit before tax, which increases year-on-year to roughly Rs 1,183 crore. One report also notes EBITDA growth (to about Rs 1,499 crore) and a slight change in EBITDA margin, though margins are described as only marginally improved. Avenue Supermarts opens three new stores during the quarter, bringing the total store count to 503.
Separately, the company provides commentary on its e-commerce arm DMart Ready, saying it sharpens focus on large metro cities and discontinues operations in seven cities that are marginal contributors, with operations in 11 cities as of June 30, 2026.
