DLP representatives say water regularly accumulates on the roadway—described as several inches—creating hazardous conditions for road users. The party warns that the flooding affects motorists and also poses risks for pedestrians and cyclists who use or pass along the area.
In its statement, the DLP spokesperson for Housing, Transport and Works, Ian R. Griffith, says the persistent nature of the flooding has made the specific stretch of highway a safety concern. The party is calling for urgent government intervention to improve the drainage and reduce the flooding, arguing that the current conditions can lead to danger on the road.
