Brigham and Women’s Hospital nurses involved in a lockout and Mass General Brigham home care clinicians involved in a strike prepare for a scheduled end to the labor action. According to announcements from the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA), the lockout at Brigham is set to end at 6:59 a.m. on Monday, July 13. MNA says Brigham nurses have communicated to state leadership and Mass General Brigham that they are prepared to continue negotiations until contract issues are resolved.
Separately, MNA reports that MGB Home Care clinicians will hold an “end-of-strike” rally on Tuesday, following the conclusion of the lockout. The groups also describe ongoing activity related to collective bargaining, including strike picketing at MGB headquarters while negotiations continue. The notices characterize the actions as part of a broader effort to press for contract resolution, while maintaining a willingness to negotiate with the employer and the Governor’s office once the scheduled end of the lockout arrives.
