Assets under management (AUM) of Specialised Investment Funds (SIFs) increase 29% month-on-month to ₹17,858 crore at the end of June 2026, according to AMFI data. The total rises from ₹13,814 crore in May. Monthly inflows also strengthen, increasing to ₹3,782 crore in June from ₹1,396 crore in May.
The growth is attributed to investor flows into hybrid investment strategies. Data compiled by ValueMetrics Mutual Fund & SIF Flow Meter shows hybrid strategies account for 72% of total SIF AUM, amounting to ₹12,822 crore as of June 30. Within this hybrid category, hybrid long-short funds constitute the largest share, managing ₹11,910 crore, or 67% of total SIF AUM.
SIFs were introduced under a SEBI framework in February 2025. The structure is designed to bridge between regular mutual funds and high-ticket Portfolio Management Services (PMS), targeting sophisticated investors and allowing for flexible approaches such as hedging, derivatives, and long-short strategies.
