The BCCI is reviewing the future of members of India’s current coaching and support staff ahead of the next series of tours. Multiple reports say assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate and fast bowling coach Morne Morkel are considering leaving, with the decision likely influenced by the end of India’s England tour. The board is discussing options to address possible staff gaps after that tour concludes.
Separately, VVS Laxman is set to lead a distinct coaching setup for India’s Zimbabwe series. Alongside the coaching planning, fielding coach T Dilip is also under scrutiny, with reporting linking the review to the team’s fielding performance during the current period.
While the BCCI has not announced replacements or final decisions, it is understood to be considering ways to retain staff or restructure support roles to ensure continuity across the remaining fixtures. The discussions are framed as contingency planning in case ten Doeschate and Morkel depart.
