Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani says Nigerian security forces should eliminate bandit leaders Bello Turji and Ado Aleru, comparing their fate to the killing of Zamfara bandit commander “Yellow” Kachalla. In posts on X, Sani says the reported extermination of Kachalla represents a major victory in the fight against terrorism in Northern Nigeria, particularly the North-West. He adds that a similar outcome should await Turji and Aleru. The reports cited note that Kachalla was shot dead on Friday at Dan Jibga Market in Anka Local Government Area, Zamfara State, by armed men believed to be loyal to a rival bandit leader, Dogo Gide. Kachalla is described as a long-feared warlord associated with attacks, mass kidnappings, cattle rustling and violent raids across communities in Nigeria’s North-West. Sources also describe him as influential among bandit commanders operating in forest areas spanning Anka, Bukkuyum, Maru and surrounding local government areas in Zamfara State.
