A technical failure affects the air-conditioning system of a Central Railway AC local running from Titwala to CSMT, leading to breathing difficulties among passengers during the Monday peak period. According to railway officials, the issue occurs around 9:26 a.m., when the AC system on the 8:33 a.m. Titwala–CSMT train develops a technical error that shuts down cooling. Reports describe discomfort worsening as the coach becomes hot and poorly ventilated, particularly at or near Mulund station, where the train remains without air-conditioning for about 10 minutes. Several passengers experience breathing difficulty, and at least one passenger is taken for medical attention and hospitalised as a precaution. Some passengers briefly lose consciousness and receive assistance from fellow commuters and railway staff.

Central Railway states that the train is withdrawn from service, with passengers deboarded at Kurla station, and the incident is under investigation to determine the exact cause of the technical fault in the air-conditioning unit(s). Other passengers who feel unwell receive support and continue their journeys after deboarding and assistance.
