Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir arrives in Türkiye for a two-day official visit, according to state media reports in Pakistan. State-run outlets report that he receives a “warm welcome” upon arrival and is expected to meet with Türkiye’s military and political leadership. Security sources cited by Radio Pakistan say the visit includes “important” meetings covering matters of mutual interest.

Both the Dawn and The Express Tribune describe the trip as an opportunity for discussions with Turkish authorities, without detailing specific agenda items. The reports also note that the visit follows recent high-level contacts between the two countries. Last month, Türkiye’s Land Forces commander, General Metin Tokel, met CDF Munir in Pakistan and discussed regional security dynamics and ways to expand bilateral defence cooperation, according to Pakistan’s military media wing ISPR. In addition, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Türkiye earlier this month, focusing on economic and trade cooperation.
