Samsung has introduced a new flexible display technology, called Flex Titanium, designed for its upcoming foldable phones. Across multiple reports, Samsung says the goal is to make the middle crease on foldable screens less visible while also improving durability and maintaining a thinner panel. Samsung describes Flex Titanium as the result of its work across seven generations of foldable devices, indicating it is an incremental step based on earlier display engineering.

The outlets report that Samsung positions the technology as “creaseless” in effect—specifically targeting the crease most noticeable when a foldable is closed or folded. Samsung also claims the material and structural changes make the display harder to crease and less prone to damage during everyday use. Several sources note that Samsung plans to share further details at its upcoming event.

The announcement is expected to coincide with the launch of new foldable models, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, which are referenced as the devices likely to use the new Flex Titanium display.
