Studio Libeskind has unveiled plans for a residential complex in Seoul’s Gangnam district comprising six high-rise towers. The project, known as the Daechi Ssangyong 1 Redevelopment Project, involves developing the site of an existing five-building, 630-unit residential complex in Daechi-dong into a new, higher-density development. Across the six towers, the design calls for residences in nearly 1,000 units, with building heights reaching up to 49 storeys.

The proposal is developed in collaboration with Seoul-based architectural firms SAMOO and HJ Design Partners. Sources describe the project as aiming to integrate the residential environment with surrounding landscape features and to connect residents with outdoor spaces.

Samsung C&T is listed as the developer for the redevelopment. Construction is expected to start in 2027, with completion targeted for 2030. The design is presented as a coordinated cluster intended to shape the overall character of the redevelopment area rather than stand-alone towers.
