Moitra posts on X that her order from Arsalan restaurant was cancelled again and that she received neither the food nor support after the cancellation. She says Swiggy charged Rs. 1,457, which she describes as an “arbitrary” cancellation fee, and she shares a screenshot of a cancellation email. The email references Swiggy Gourmet order number 243092360048928, cancelled at 7:55 PM on July 15, with a stated cancellation fee for restaurant services of Rs. 1,457.

According to the reports, Moitra’s post draws further attention as other users also describe similar problems, including claims that cancellations occur due to technical issues and that refunds are not processed. Swiggy replies to Moitra on X acknowledging her frustration and says it is reaching out to review the order cancellation and associated charges to work toward a resolution. The company has not, as of the reporting, issued a broader statement about its cancellation policy.
