President Droupadi Murmu arrives in North Macedonia for a two-day state visit, described as the first time any Indian head of state visits the country. On arrival, she is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with North Macedonia’s President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and meet senior leaders during her engagements in Skopje. As part of the programme, Murmu addresses the Parliament of North Macedonia, marking a formal legislative interaction during the visit. In addition to government-level discussions and official meetings, the itinerary includes engagement with business leaders, aimed at fostering people-to-people and economic connections between the two countries. The visit focuses on strengthening bilateral ties through dialogue with the top leadership of North Macedonia, participation in parliamentary proceedings, and discussions involving the business community. The talks cover areas of cooperation as the two sides review their relationship and explore further opportunities.
