Fox, Hulu and 20th Television Animation are building the voice cast for “Stewie,” the upcoming “Family Guy” spinoff centered on Stewie Griffin. Seth MacFarlane is set to reprise his role as Stewie and will provide double voice work, according to reporting from Deadline and Variety. Both outlets also confirm that Mike Henry will join the series, voicing a character connected to one of Henry’s established “Family Guy” roles. Deadline further adds that additional cast members include SNL alums Kenan Thompson and Vanessa Bayer, as well as “The Rookie” star Melissa O’Neil. Variety likewise lists Thompson and Bayer, and also includes O’Neil in its confirmed additions. In addition, Variety names Aaron Lee and Jessica Lowe as part of the expanding cast. The two reports otherwise align on the project’s focus on Stewie and the involvement of the same core production partners. No premiere date or character details beyond the Stewie and Henry-linked roles are provided in the excerpts.
