Vishal Mega Mart reports a stronger performance in the April to June quarter of fiscal year 2027. The company’s net profit rises to about ₹258.8 crore, with NDTV reporting a 26% increase (to ₹259 crore) and Free Press Journal citing consolidated profit of ₹258.77 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026. Revenue from operations increases to ₹3,727.01 crore, up from ₹3,114.10 crore in the preceding quarter, which corresponds to an increase of roughly 19%. Free Press Journal also reports total consolidated income of ₹3,760.15 crore and total expenses of ₹3,414.19 crore for the quarter. Basic earnings per share (EPS) increases to ₹0.55 from ₹0.36 in the previous quarter. Alongside the financial results, the board approves the re-appointment of Neha Bansal as a Non-Executive Independent Director for a one-year second term beginning 23 September 2026, subject to shareholder approval. The board also approves a proposal to limit aggregate foreign ownership to 49.99% on a fully diluted basis, again subject to shareholder approval.
