The Cincinnati Reds beat the St. Louis Cardinals 5-3 in 10 innings on Sunday to win a third consecutive road series for the first time since 2023. The game is decided in the bottom of the 10th when Sal Stewart, coming off the bench, delivers the go-ahead run with a pinch-hit single. Cincinnati then holds on to secure the victory. The win caps a 6-3 road trip for the Reds following the All-Star break. Coming out of the break, Cincinnati—currently in last place in the National League Central—wins two of its three series against teams including the Colorado Rockies, Seattle Mariners and St. Louis Cardinals. The result also extends the Reds’ momentum across multiple games on the road, while the Cardinals remain on the other end of another extra-inning finish.
