Sega announces a closed network test for Crazy Taxi: World Tour, a multiplayer test that will let a limited number of players try the game in advance. The test is scheduled for September 11–13 in the United States and runs on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5, though Sega notes some platforms may have limited participant capacity. Interested players can sign up through the game’s website, with signups open until August 31.
The announcements also include a new trailer that highlights a West Coast location that is playable in the World Tour mode. Sega has not outlined additional locations beyond that at the time of the reports.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour was originally revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase in June, alongside a debut trailer featuring the song “All I Want” by The Offspring, associated with the franchise. Sega’s announcement follows earlier attention about the game’s use of generative AI in development, including Steam store language indicating AI is used as a support tool. Sega has said it used generative AI for background assets, with further comments from franchise creator Kenji Kanno defending how AI was used during development.
