Helldivers 2 is set to release its next crossover Warbond based on Warhammer 40,000 on August 12. Multiple outlets report that the content focuses on the Astra Militarum, particularly Cadian Kasrkin-inspired equipment, rather than Space Marine-themed items. Players who purchase the Warbond will receive a bundle of weapons, stratagems, and cosmetics tied to the setting.
The warbond includes multiple weapons associated with Astra Militarum, described across sources as a Meltagun support weapon and Meltamines, a Bolt Pistol secondary, and a Lasgun Marksman Rifle primary (with one outlet highlighting the “Hot Shot Marksman” rifle). In addition, the Warbond adds two Imperial Guard armor sets inspired by the Cadian Kasrkin: the Demo Trooper (heavy armor) and the Sharpshooter (medium armor). Both armor sets grant the “True Grit” passive, which increases ergonomics and enables faster reload for stratagem weapons, according to reporting.
Sources also note that the release does not include several commonly associated Warhammer 40,000 staples such as Space Marines, and there are no melee weapons in the listed Warbond items.
