The Philippine National Police (PNP) says a third suspect in the killing of vlogger Alicia “Mima Alicia” Lipata has surrendered, while three other suspects remain at large. The PNP states the third suspect, identified only by the initials “A.F.,” turned himself in to the Mabalacat City Police Station in Pampanga on July 24. Northern Police District director Brig. Gen. Benliner Capili made the disclosure.
According to reports, Lipata was killed in Caloocan City on July, when a gunman riding on the back of a motorcycle shot at her and her partner in front of their home. Her partner is reported to have been wounded in the incident.
The PNP also says three suspects are still at large, which it describes as including alleged masterminds. The statements reflect the progress of the investigation as additional individuals come forward, but the remaining suspects have not been taken into custody as of Monday’s update.
