TCL’s Tab A1 Plus NXTpaper tablet is now available in the United States as part of the company’s Back to School promotion. After the device was unveiled earlier in March at MWC, multiple outlets report it is being sold through TCL’s online store and other retailers such as Amazon. The NXTpaper model is offered for a limited time at $299.99, down from a stated $399.99 retail price. Android Authority also describes the tablet as a budget option centered on its paper-like display and a bigger battery than the non-NXTpaper sibling.
Across the reports, the tablet includes a 12.2-inch 2.4K (2400×1600) LCD screen that uses TCL’s NXTpaper technology for a matte, paper-like look. The display is described with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and up to 500 nits of peak brightness. The tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC and is configured with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is expandable. It includes an 8MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera, and it comes with a 10,000mAh battery.
