According to reports, the incident occurs when a 23-year-old passenger falls while alighting from a train on Platform No. 5. During the rush, other passengers also stumble over her, leaving her injured and unable to stand. The ticket collector, identified as Smt. Vrushali Sawant Jadhav, Head Ticket Collector posted at Dombivli, immediately rushes to assist. She first alerts the station announcer to arrange for a licensed porter, but then determines that the passenger needs urgent medical attention and chooses to act without waiting. Jadhav lifts the injured passenger and carries her to the Station Manager’s office. From there, the passenger is promptly shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Central Railway officials praise the quick thinking and dedication of the frontline staff, saying the timely intervention helps ensure the passenger receives immediate care. The railway also urges passengers to take care when boarding and alighting from trains.
