Power Grid Corporation of India reports that its June-quarter (Q1) revenue rises year-on-year, while net profit declines slightly. NDTV says revenue increases by about 2.7% (to Rs 11,497 crore) in the quarter, whereas net profit falls marginally by around 0.9% compared with the same period last year. Business Line reports that consolidated Q1 net profit dips to ₹3,598 crore. Alongside the profit and revenue changes, Business Line states the company incurs capital expenditure of ₹7,765 crore during April–June and capitalizes assets worth ₹5,277 crore on a consolidated basis during the quarter. Following the release of the results, NDTV reports that Power Grid’s shares fall by more than 3%, reflecting investor reaction to the decline in net profit. Across the reports, the financial direction in the quarter is consistent: higher revenue and a small contraction in net profit, with significant spending and asset capitalization tied to ongoing transmission projects.
