Apple tells a federal court that it has not received updates from Jon Prosser’s legal team for about a month in Apple’s trade-secret lawsuit over alleged disclosure of pre-release iOS information. In a joint status report filed in the Northern District of California, Apple says it and Prosser have continued limited discovery, including document and communications production and a deposition on June 16, 2026. Apple states that the last communication from Prosser’s counsel was on July 6, 2026, despite repeated attempts to address outstanding discovery issues. The filing says Prosser’s productions still appear deficient and Apple has notified Prosser’s counsel.
Prosser’s attorney tells Apple that the delay is linked to Prosser’s personal circumstances, citing the arrival of his second child and newborn care. The attorney says he will identify dates for Prosser to provide remaining discovery materials.
The case also involves co-defendant Michael Ramacciotti, whom Apple says accessed a confidential device at the center of the dispute. Apple reports Ramacciotti continues cooperating, including agreement to supplement interrogatory responses and attend a second deposition scheduled for September. Apple seeks damages and a permanent injunction. The court and parties are expected to file another status update on October 7.
