Apple is reportedly preparing a new Apple Card sign-up promotion in the United States that could effectively provide new customers with AirPods Pro 3, according to coverage citing Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Multiple reports say the offer could begin as early as next week, though Apple has not officially announced the promotion, so the full terms and eligibility requirements are not yet available.

The reported structure is that customers who sign up for an Apple Card at Apple retail stores in the U.S. and then purchase AirPods Pro 3 would receive $249 in cash back. Because AirPods Pro 3 are priced at $249 in the U.S., the cash back would correspond to the purchase price, resulting in an effective “free AirPods” outcome.

Cash back from Apple Card is referred to as “Daily Cash.” One report indicates that the $249 cash back would be provided the same day as the card sign-up. Apple Card is available in the U.S. only and is managed through the Wallet app. The card is currently issued by Goldman Sachs, with Apple previously stating that Chase will take over issuance by early 2028.
