Multiple reports say the case follows alleged “honey-trap” activity conducted through social media, with the officer engaging in interactions that reportedly escalated to video calls. Prosecuting authorities allege that information sought during these interactions involved military movements and other defence details, and that sensitive data was shared through digital channels.
All outlets describe involvement of the IAF intelligence wing prior to arrest. They report that the officer comes under surveillance based on suspicion raised after his social media interactions, and that the matter is subsequently handed to Delhi Police and other security agencies.
